Quick start

How to turn an EPUB ebook into a PDF

  1. 1

    Choose an EPUB

Add one DRM-free EPUB file from your device. The book is unpacked and checked locally in your browser.

  2. 2

    Review the reading order

Check the title, author, cover, and sections found in the EPUB spine. Select a section to preview it.

  3. 3

    Set the PDF layout

Choose US Letter, A4, US Legal, or a 6 by 9 inch book page, then adjust margins, text size, quality, cover, and page numbers.

  4. 4

    Convert and inspect

Create the PDF, download the new copy, and review chapter breaks, images, page numbers, and text size.

EPUB and PDF solve different problems

An EPUB is a packaged publication built from web content. Its package document identifies resources, while its spine defines the default reading order. Most EPUB books are reflowable, so lines and pages change with the reader's screen and font settings. A PDF uses fixed pages, so conversion must choose a specific paper size, margins, and text scale.

This converter follows the EPUB spine, loads local styles and images, blocks scripts and remote resources, and lays the book onto fixed PDF pages. Always inspect the finished PDF because complex tables, fixed-layout books, custom fonts, and oversized illustrations can paginate differently.

Choose the right page size

US Letter

The 8.5 by 11 inch default is practical for home, school, and office printers in the United States.

6 by 9 inch book page

A compact reading format that feels closer to a paperback and uses fewer wide lines.

A4

Useful when a recipient or printer outside the United States expects the international A4 standard.

US Legal

Use the 8.5 by 14 inch option only when a longer printed page is useful for the content.

What the converter keeps

Before you share or print the PDF

  1. 1. Check your rights. Convert only ebooks that you own or are authorized to reproduce. This tool does not bypass DRM.
  2. 2. Review every section. Look for clipped tables, missing custom fonts, unusual chapter breaks, or images that need a different page size.
  3. 3. Check readability. Open the PDF at 100 percent zoom and print a sample page before producing a long physical copy.
  4. 4. Check accessibility needs. The converted PDF uses static page artwork. Keep the original EPUB when selectable text, text reflow, screen reader semantics, or ebook navigation matters.

Frequently asked questions

Does EPUB to PDF upload my ebook?

No. The EPUB is unpacked, sanitized, paginated, and converted locally in your browser. The tool does not send the book to a server.

Can this tool convert a DRM-protected EPUB?

No. You must use a DRM-free EPUB that you are authorized to convert. The tool does not remove access controls or digital rights management.

Will the PDF look exactly like the EPUB?

Not always. EPUB books normally reflow to fit a screen, while PDF pages have fixed dimensions. Fonts, complex layouts, unsupported media, and chapter breaks can therefore look different.

Is the PDF text selectable?

The browser converter captures each laid-out page as static page artwork for predictable visual output. Text selection, ebook reflow, accessibility semantics, audio, video, scripts, and interactive features are not retained.

Which page size should US users choose?

US Letter is the default for common home and office printing in the United States. A 6 by 9 inch page is useful for book-like reading. Use US Legal only when a longer page is required.

Are links kept clickable?

Link text remains visible, but links are not interactive in the converted PDF because the page is flattened into static artwork.

Why is the converted PDF larger than the EPUB?

EPUB stores reflowable text and compressed assets efficiently. The PDF stores fixed visual pages, so high quality settings, many images, and a long book can produce a much larger file.

Does EPUB to PDF preserve the table of contents?

The EPUB spine determines section order and is shown in the workspace. A separate clickable PDF bookmark tree is not created in this version.
