02 / HOW IT WORKS

Your file takes the shortest route.

From your device, through your browser, and right back to you.

  1. 01

    Choose your files

Select PDFs or images. They are read directly by the browser tab.

  2. 02

    Process locally

JavaScript, WebAssembly, web workers, and browser APIs process the document on your device. No document data is sent to us.

  3. 03

    Download the result

Save the finished file to your device. Selected files and unsaved work are kept only for the current browser session and are discarded when you close or reload the tab.

03 / BUILT DIFFERENTLY

A useful tool shouldn’t require your trust.

LocalPDFLab keeps a simple boundary: your documents belong on your device. The architecture enforces that promise instead of asking you to accept it.

04 / QUESTIONS

Clear answers.
No fine print.

The practical details behind private, local PDF processing.

01Is LocalPDFLab really private?

Yes. Processing happens inside your browser. Your document contents are never uploaded to our servers, so there is no remote copy for us to access, retain, or review.

02Are there file size or usage limits?

We do not impose subscription-based file-size limits or daily-use quotas. The practical limit is the memory and processing capacity available to your browser and device, so very large or complex files can take longer or fail on lower-memory devices.

03Do I need an account or subscription?

No. Every tool is free to use without registration, an email address, a trial, or a paid plan.

04Can I use the tools offline?

Many tools can work offline after the page and its required processing modules have been cached. For the most reliable result, complete one operation with the tool while online before using it offline. Availability also depends on your browser retaining the site's cached data.

05Will processing reduce PDF quality?

Merging, splitting, organizing, and rotating preserve original page data. Compression and image conversion can change quality, and those tools provide relevant output settings.
