Quick start

How to turn images into a PDF

  1. 1

    Choose your images

Add JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, or AVIF files. You can mix formats in one job.

  2. 2

    Arrange the PDF pages

Drag each image's dotted grip into order. Use the checkboxes to select multiple images and rotate, duplicate, or delete them together before conversion.

  3. 3

    Choose a page layout

Select US Letter, US Legal, A4, or image-sized pages, then choose orientation, margins, and image placement.

  4. 4

    Create and check the PDF

Combine everything into one PDF or create separate PDFs, download the result, and verify page order and cropping.

Supported image formats

PDF libraries embed JPEG and PNG reliably, so other formats are decoded locally and prepared as compatible still images. The original files remain unchanged.

FormatHow it is handled
JPG, JPEGPrepared as a photo-friendly JPEG page with orientation normalized.
PNGPrepared as PNG so transparent areas and sharp graphics remain intact.
WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIFDecoded by the browser and converted to a static PNG page. Animated files use the first frame.
HEIC, HEIFDecoded locally after selection and converted to a high-quality JPEG still image.
TIFFDecoded locally. Every readable page in a multipage TIFF is added to the workspace.

Choose a page size for US printing

US Letter is the default and works for most home, school, and office printers in the United States. US Legal is useful for longer forms. A4 is common outside the United States. Match image keeps each page proportional to its image, so page dimensions can vary inside the PDF.

Fit the whole image or fill the page

Fit image

Shows the full image inside the chosen margin. It is the safer choice for receipts, certificates, screenshots, and scans where every edge matters.

Fill page

Fills the available page area. It can crop edges when image and paper proportions differ, so preview source images and inspect the downloaded PDF.

HEIC and HEIF conversion details

HEIC is common on iPhones, but browser decoding is not consistent. This tool loads a dedicated local decoder only after a HEIC or HEIF file is selected. It extracts the visible still image and converts it into JPEG data that can be embedded in a PDF.

The PDF does not retain Live Photo motion, depth data, burst alternatives, nondestructive edit history, or the full HDR range. Color can also look slightly different after conversion because a standard PDF page cannot reproduce every feature of the original HEIC container.

Before sharing the finished PDF

  1. 1. Check page order. Confirm multipage TIFF pages and duplicated images appear where expected.
  2. 2. Check image edges. Fill page can crop content, while Fit image can add white space.
  3. 3. Check readability. Zoom into receipts, identification copies, and text-heavy screenshots.
  4. 4. Follow recipient requirements. US courts, agencies, schools, and employers may impose file-size, accessibility, or page-size rules.

Frequently asked questions

Which image formats can I convert to PDF?

The tool supports JPG and JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, and AVIF. Browser-readable formats are decoded directly. HEIC, HEIF, and TIFF use format-specific local decoders.

Can I mix JPG, PNG, and HEIC files in one PDF?

Yes. Add supported formats together, arrange all thumbnails in one page order, and leave Combine into one PDF selected.

Does Images to PDF upload my photos?

No. Image decoding, thumbnail preparation, page arrangement, and PDF creation happen locally in your browser. HEIC and TIFF decoder code is loaded only when one of those files is selected.

What happens to an animated GIF, WebP, or AVIF?

PDF pages are static, so the first frame is used. The workspace displays a notice when an animated source is detected.

Can the tool convert a multipage TIFF?

Yes. Each readable TIFF page becomes a separate item in the workspace, up to the tool's safety limit. You can reorder or remove those pages before creating the PDF.

Should I choose US Letter or Match image?

Use US Letter for common home and office printing in the United States. Match image makes each PDF page follow the source image dimensions, which is useful for digital portfolios and receipts with different shapes.

What is the difference between Fit image and Fill page?

Fit image keeps the complete image visible and may leave white space. Fill page covers the printable area but can crop image edges.

Will HEIC quality, HDR, Live Photo motion, or depth data be preserved?

The visible primary HEIC image is converted to a standard still image for PDF embedding. HDR range, Live Photo motion, depth maps, edit history, and some color or camera metadata are not retained.

Does the PDF keep photo location metadata?

The converter rebuilds supported images from visible pixels and does not intentionally copy EXIF camera or GPS metadata into the PDF. Still review the finished file before sharing sensitive material.

Why can the PDF be larger than the original images?

HEIC, WebP, and AVIF often compress photos more efficiently than PDF-compatible JPEG or PNG data. Page size, transparency, and the number of images also affect the result.
